Ken Andrews @ The Paradise Lounge
For those of you familiar with the band Faliure, you may not be aware that former front man Ken Andrews is still hard at work. Kerry and I had the opportunity to catch his show last night at The Paradise Lounge. I can't believe I got to see this show in such a small venue--there had to be less than 100 people there. We had awesome birds-eye view seats from the balcony directly in front of the stage. Another great band, First Wave Hello (a band I just learned about) opened for Ken and then backed him for his entire set.
It was an awesome show. Ken is a big time producer and mixes many albums now adays so it was great to see him back at music making. He mixed the lates FWH album and while they were playing we stepped into the sound both (which we were sitting right next to) and helped mix some of the sound. We realized how serious this guy is when he broke out his calculator to determine the right mix for the band's sound. Pretty funny to see, but hey, it worked.
